Tech Your Way

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Your Way collects, uses, shares, and protects information submitted through our website, forms, quizzes, program inquiries, donation inquiries, and online resources.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to provide when you complete a contact form, request information, volunteer, inquire about partnerships, donate or request sponsorship information, sign up for updates, or otherwise communicate with Tech Your Way.

This may include your name, email address, phone number, city or region, school or organization, student age or grade range, parent or guardian contact information, program interests, volunteer interests, donation or sponsorship interests, and any message you submit.

If you use the Tech Your Way quiz, the quiz generates a recommended pathway based on your answers. Quiz answers are used to show your result during that session and are not intended to create a formal student record.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring pages, and general usage data. This helps us understand how visitors use the site, improve performance, protect the site, and measure general interest.

At launch, Tech Your Way does not intentionally use advertising pixels, remarketing tags, or behavior-based ad tracking on this website. If we add analytics, advertising conversion tracking, or similar tools later, we will update this policy and use appropriate notice or consent controls where required.

Some essential technologies may still be used by our hosting provider or website platform to deliver pages, keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and understand basic technical performance.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to respond to inquiries, send program information, manage interest lists, follow up with families, students, volunteers, partners, donors, and sponsors, coordinate events or learning opportunities, improve our website, and operate Tech Your Way programs.

We may also use information to send confirmations, reminders, updates, newsletters, or relevant opportunities. You may unsubscribe from marketing or update communications when an unsubscribe option is provided, or by contacting us.

4. Youth Privacy and Parent/Guardian Consent

Tech Your Way serves youth, including students ages 8-17. We take youth privacy seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parent or guardian consent.

If a student is under 13, a parent or guardian should complete forms on the student's behalf or provide permission before personal information is submitted. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Parents or guardians may contact us to request review, correction, or deletion of a child's information. We do not sell children's personal information.

5. Request Info and Course Access

Tech Your Way does not operate a full public learning management system on this website. Course and program pages describe learning opportunities and invite visitors to request information or access.

Submitting a request does not guarantee access to a program, course, cohort, scholarship, certificate pathway, private community, or partner opportunity. Tech Your Way reviews submissions and follows up with appropriate next steps.

6. AI, Quiz, and Educational Recommendations

Our AI-related resources, quiz results, career pathway information, and learning recommendations are provided for educational and informational purposes. They are intended to help students explore interests and possible learning directions.

Quiz results and pathway recommendations do not guarantee academic results, career outcomes, employment, scholarships, certifications, or admission into any program. Users should not submit sensitive personal information into any AI tool or form unless it is specifically requested, appropriate, and submitted with required consent.

7. Confidence Corner and Wellness Content

Confidence Corner may include reflection prompts, affirmations, breathing exercises, mindfulness activities, and social-emotional learning support. It is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, mental health treatment, crisis support, or a substitute for professional care.

If a student is in danger, experiencing a crisis, or needs urgent help, they should contact a trusted adult, emergency services, or an appropriate crisis support resource.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the website, manage forms, store submissions, send emails, process donations, host content, provide analytics, manage events, or support learning opportunities.

Examples include website hosting providers, form tools, email platforms, donation processors, analytics providers, and trusted program or certificate partners when needed to respond to a request or support an opportunity.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to prevent misuse, or in connection with nonprofit operations.

9. Donations and Payment Processing

Donation payments may be processed by third-party platforms. Tech Your Way does not receive or store full credit card numbers through this website. Payment processors may collect and process payment information under their own privacy policies and terms.

10. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. These safeguards may include secure HTTPS pages, server-side form handling, limited access to form submissions, private environment variables for service credentials, spam reduction controls, and security-focused website configuration.

No website, email system, or online storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, medical records, passwords, or other highly sensitive information through general website forms.

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including program follow-up, legal compliance, donor records, safety, operations, or legitimate nonprofit purposes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, archive, or limit access to it.

11. Your Choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. You may also ask to stop receiving marketing or update emails. We may need to retain certain information when required for legal, donor, safety, or operational reasons.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, programs, forms, technology tools, or legal obligations change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised date.
