About Course

This fun and interactive course introduces students to the world of coding using Scratch, a beginner-friendly, block-based programming platform created by MIT. Students will learn how coding works by building games, animations, stories, and mini-projects without typing complicated code.

The course starts with the basics of what coding is and how the Scratch interface works. Students explore sprites, backgrounds, motion blocks, and creative tools while learning how to think like programmers. As lessons progress, they bring characters to life using movement, dialogue, sound, and animation.

Through hands-on projects, students learn how to:

  • Control character movement in different ways

  • Create stories with talking characters

  • Design colorful animations and party scenes

  • Build visual effects using clones and mouse tracking

  • Use variables to create real games like clicker games

Each lesson includes a creative task or assignment that encourages experimentation, imagination, and problem-solving. By the end of the course, students will confidently understand core coding concepts such as events, loops, variables, conditions, and interactions, while having fun creating their own Scratch projects.

No prior coding experience is required. This course is perfect for beginners who want to learn coding in a playful, visual, and engaging way.
